It feels like forever since we got to see our new catalog premiered at Disneyland. Only one more week until we can unveil all the newest innovations to the product line. I thought I'd leave everyone with a quick peak at one of my favorite designed made by our wonderful artist at Close to My Heart. This is only a peak at our Seasonal Expressions paper pack. Stay tuned for more.

Packing time has come again. Time to say goodbye to all my ladies until next month.
One last project was completed today. A wonderful, true to Disney layout with all the trimmings, including PLUTO! I was inspired by the Disneyland logo above the pool at the hotel. Adding my luggage tags, room key and some silver Disney charms added just the right touch. Pluto was a new design for me. He looks bashful! Did I mention how much I love Pluto. This layout featured only one patterned paper from Dream Pop, the orange bird houses. The layout was inspired by the Snow Fun layout found on page 83 of our catalog. Also used Pacifica, White Daisy and Black card stock. The Disneyland logo was a trace and cut on the cameo. The Pluto was created by me from an old coloring book my son had. Both the Disneyland Logo and Pluto are available for purchase. Send me an email if interested. Till next time. Laura Was hoping to showcase several more layouts today but too much talking, eating great food and discussing the new Close to My Heart catalog with my upline, got me totally off track!!!
Not that I mind. Four hours is not too long for one layout, I think... The layout below showcases an older paper called Laughing Lola. I choose this paper due to the dark colors in purple/blue hues that helped pull all the images out of the dark pictures. Also used Black, Pixie, Crystal Blue and Laughin Lola Gold (Flaxen). The Trading Sam's came from their menu along with all the drinks. (never through anything away!) My inspiration pattern came from the CHALK IT UP Workshop on the Go layouts. I altered it by adding a fancy border to the right side. It was blinged up using black Flourishes and black Sparkles. It's that time of the month, the time to get the scrap on at Sterling House Community Center in Stratford. All my best buds are here for an extending scrapbook event (10am-12pm). Fourteen hours of paper time and friends.
Today I'm scrapping the Close To My Heart Convention from 2014. I had the honor of rooming with three wonderful women from around the country, Debbie, Wendy and Sue. For going alone to my first convention, I couldn't have chosen a better group of ladies to room with. They really opened up and in a short time we became the four musketeers + pink unicorn running all around the resort having a blast. This first layout uses CHALK IT UP paper with White Daisy, Black, Flaxen, Lagoon, & Smoothie card stocks. The pattern inspiration came from CTMH Magic book, Palor Trick on page 14. Also used some gold shimmer trim, gems and smoothie washi tape to add some bling. The Rainforest Cafe was done using the cameo. I was able to trace and create the logo. Also added a little bit more depth to the layout by stamping in lagoon the arrows (Flight of the Arrows stamp set) and using Flaxen to stamp the triangles (Oodles of Doodles stamp set) across the bottom. The cute animals came off the very loud photo mat that the Cafe gave us. Stay tuned for more layouts and cameo designs. Our annual convention is over and we are safely at home. Disneyland California was a blast, so much to see and do along with the crazy and jam packed convention. Close to My Heart offered business and creative classes, all geared to helping us help our customers.
Our new products will be in my hands later this week. I'm so looking forward to designing new layouts and kits. Hi Everyone, If joining me for the first time. I recently created this new blog. Please visit Creative Scrapbooking in CT to view my previous blogs, lessons and photos. Looking forward to hearing from everyone. Laura Close to My Heart out did themselves this year. All the new products and offerings make the catalog a showstopper. Seven new colors are added to the Enchanted color palette and the Eggplant and Peacock are my favorites.
They also unveiled a new series of embellishments that will meet everyones needs, from bows to arrows, sunglasses, cameras, and everything in between. We asked for me and got more than expected!!! We also added more enamels, dots, twine, gold and silver trims, etc. I can't hardly wait to start posting projects for everyone to see how much more we can do. I'll be showcasing photos after September 1st. Please see my Facebook for teaser photos from this convention. So excited that I could share this experience with Marguerite and Stephanie. Sparkle Sisters Rule!! Only 4 days and counting until I step foot in sunny California. Can't hardly wait to be at Disneyland again. Convention is the one time of year where every aspect of the day is centered around scrapbooking. Every open door is a new product launch or new technique class. It's the time to better myself as a consultant and absorb as much information as possible.
I'll be showcasing pictures of the new releases each night. Stay tuned!! |
